The Emperor’s New Clothes

The iconic children’s story is likened to the tyrannical governors of today

I wrote this one at the height of the lockdowns in New York State when our insane (then) Governor Cuomo prevented elderly nursing home residents from seeing their relatives.  They blamed their deaths on Covid when it was obviously due to the loneliness of being so cruelly isolated!

In this parable, the “sorcerers” are the scientists, the “demons” are the viruses, the “plague” is Covid and the “potion,” the vaccine.
