For some of my foreign subscribers, you may never have heard of Rosa Parks.  She was a black woman who was a very prominent figure in the Civil Rights movement during the 1950’s and after, here in the US.

In 1955, Rosa Parks refused to sit in the back of a public bus in Montgomery, Alabama, where black people were forced to sit due to discriminatory laws.

Rosa Parks was arrested for her defiant act and fined.  Soon afterward she became a symbol in the fight against segregation.

My album cover shows Rosa Parks on the left (in black and white) in the 1950s, with a maskless man sitting in the back of a bus in recent times when discrimination reared its ugly head again against all those who stood up for medical freedom.

The lyrics to the song address the modern-day “mob” who have used a phony health crisis to support both government and public health officials bent on taking away our Constitutional rights and freedom.

Check out the song on Soundcloud:

The Back of the Bus

(v1) The back of the bus
That’s where you want us
You wonder why we all make such a fuss
I’ll tell you right now
It’s your sacred cow
That’s always your thing, acting like kings
Take a bow

You always insist that your experts they can do no wrong
You remain in fear, year after year
How long?

You can never recognize, all the lies
That undermines our trust

All that we now hear
Sit in the back of the bus

Chorus: Now you point the finger and linger on all your tropes of hate
I can only pray that the hour hasn’t grown too late
What happens to our world when we no longer know what’s just?
Everything you’ve built, there’s never any guilt
sending us to the back of the bus

(v2) The back of the bus, that’s where you want us
How does it feel? You are all upper crust
You’re part of the mob, you call us the slobs
If we don’t comply, you then take our jobs

It is quite a shame, that it’s your game
To ignore our tales of woe
You will surely fall, if you don’t recall Jim Crow

You attack with so much hate, there’s no debate
We have had enough
Sending us all—to the back of the bus

Chorus: Now you point the finger and linger on all your tropes of hate
I can only pray that the hour hasn’t grown too late
What happens to our world when we no longer know what’s just?
Everything you’ve built, there’s never any guilt
sending us to the back of the bus

Bridge: all your testing, never resting
Your obsession, always festering
So self-righteous you do what you please
All the lives you claim you’re saving
It’s just your brand of misbehaving
Now you reveal your Sword of Damocles

Instrumental first half of verse

Now it would appear, that your fears
Has invited God’s holy wrath
Now you know it’s time, see the sign
You need to find a different path

You’re no longer desperate,
All your experts
Avoid them that’s a must
Stop sending us
To the back of the bus
Stop sending us
To the back of the bus

Couldn’t even get on a bus in Japan unmasked. Did on trains though.
